Message From HLA’s Academic Directors
HLA's mission is to provide a nurturing yet rigorous K-5 dual language program committed to fostering academic excellence and a high degree of Hebrew language proficiency. Our school provides students with a sophisticated core curriculum in English Language Arts, mathematics, the sciences, and social studies that is enhanced by art, music, technology and physical education. We incorporate Hebrew language instruction across the curriculum through a partial immersion proficiency model.
As the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction and General Studies, it is our job to make sure that our teachers are able to fulfill this mission by providing them with continuous and in-depth professional development and support. We work closely with our partner organizations such as Hebrew at the Center and PICCS to deliver the highest-quality professional development possible.
